Targa Resources in Mont Belvieu, Texas operates two steam turbine driven refrigeration compressors critical to the plant process. The steam turbines are identical Terry (Dresser-Rand legacy) brand units that were previously re-rated for increased speed and power by a Macek Power engineer. Targa has contracted Macek Power to provide a complete spare rotor, which will be manufactured by a third party under Macek Power supervision.
